Premise: The bay-to-day events in the life of Dr. John Dorian are chronicled, as he advances his medical career working at the frequently surreal Sacred Heart Hospital where the patients and staffers are often equally wacky and heartbreaking. Wait. That sounds familiar. The two-time Emmy nominee for outstanding comedy series finally moves from its schedule-hopping position at NBC to ABC after seven variably rated seasons. Except more of the same, only perhaps with a bit more schedule stability and promotion. Perhaps.
