Zap2it Fall TV Preview 2008: FOX's New Shows

Zap2it Fall TV Preview 2008: FOX's New Shows: Hole in the Wall (FOX)
Unscripted

Premieres Thursday, Sept. 11

Premise: Based on the popular Japanese format, contestants stand at one end of a platform. Barrier walls move toward them. Each barrier wall has a segment cut out, sometimes a simple shape and sometimes a human form in various positions. Contestants simply have to pass through the holes in the wall. Sounds simple, right? Its a task that requires almost no effort if the hole is just a tall rectangle, but which can lead to jumps, ducking or more complicated contortion as the difficulty increases. If they fail, they end up pushed into a pool below for a humiliating splash.

First Impressions: Footage from the various international incarnation are available on YouTube. While the show doesnt exactly look classy or boundary-breaking, it looks like innocuous and silly funny. The constestants might get dirty, but viewers wont feel as dirty as if theyd been watching Moment of Truth.

Hosts: Brooke Burns and Mark Thompson

Studio: FremantleMedia North America

Producers: Stuart Krasnow
