Premise: A soldier rescues a king's son from enemy territory and is thrust into the limelight, setting off a chain of powerful events in this contemporary take on the biblical story of David.

First Impressions: The show seems to have a pretty good handle on creating a world that's contemporary but not quite like ours. The big question for us is how the lesser-known actors will measure up to Ian McShane.
