For many reasons, "Trouble with the Curve" is not "Moneyball," and one of them is that "Curve" actually seems to understand its subject matter. (No one will ever convince me that "Moneyball" properly presented the key contributors of the team with the appropriate perspective on the effectiveness or challenges of sabermetrics.) "Curve" is old-fashioned and likable, which is why I liked it.
