Lionel Rose

Lionel Rose (L), the first Australian Aborigine to win a world boxing title, died May 8, after falling ill several months earlier. He won the world bantamweight title by beating Japan's Masahiko "Fighting" Harada (R) in February 1968. Rose was 62. This picture is from the actual fight.
