"Law & Order" dies; long live "Law & Order"!
The flagship TV show "Law & Order," which specialized in ripped-from-the-headlines tales of crime and punishment, sounded its final iconic gavel in May. The crime drama tied "Gunsmoke" for the longest-running TV drama. But fans of the franchise weren't left without comfort: In addition to L&O: Special Victims Unit, L&O: Los Angeles and L&O: UK joined the television landscape. Plus, syndicated reruns of the Original Recipe show seem to be showing constantly on cable.
