The Golden Globes nominations prompt giggles
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has been known for, shall we say, quirky decisions when it comes to Golden Globes nominations. This year, they may have topped awarding Pia Zadora best new star of the year in 1981. Both the roundly panned Christina Aguilera/Cher vehicle "Burlesque" ("Every Thanksgiving needs a turkey, and this year's comes wrapped in a lacy bustier" -- Adam Graham, Detroit News) and the Jolie/Depp stinker "The Tourist" ("In a year of craptaculars, The Tourist deserves burial at the bottom of the 2010 dung heap" -- Peter Travers, Rolling Stone) got noms for best motion picture, musical or comedy. No, we have no idea what they're smoking.
