2010 marked the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's death as well as what would have been the legendary musician's 70th birthday. Vigils and memorial concerts were held on October 9, Lennon's birthday, and December 8, the day he died. Several pieces of Lennon memorabilia were auctioned off, including the white suit he wore on the cover of the Beatles' album "Abbey Road," while editorials, films and programming specials commemorated the artist's legacy.
