Unhappy with the direction the script for "Spider-Man 4" was taking, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and director Sam Raimi left the project in early January, weeks before it was scheduled to start filming. Instead, Columbia Pictures began putting together an entirely new cast and will re-boot of the series beginning with Peter Parker in high school. Great, Columbia, put the poor kid through adolescence twice.
