Rapper Lil Wayne was sentenced to a year at Rikers Island for attempted criminal possession of a weapon last March. In October, Wayne was found in possession of another form of contraband: An MP3 player. Wayne was put in "punitive segregation," Rikers' version of solitary confinement. Wayne was given early release in November.
