The conversation in our home while watching the Food Network's appalling/addictive show "Worst Cooks in America" always -- always
-- included a variation on this line: "What!?! How can someone make it to adulthood and not know how to do that?" Seriously -- the contestants were so comically bad in the first couple of episodes that the show felt like some kind of put-on.
And yet by Week 3, there we were, cheering on some contestants and snarking at the screen for others. It turned out to be a great little competition -- not as compelling as the best of "Top Chef," not hardly, but darn near impossible to click away from.
