American Music Awards 2012: Best and worst moments

We were just as shocked as you when the Canadian pop star broke out a song that wasn't "Call Me Maybe" after descending to the stage in what resembled a candy-colored TARDIS from "Doctor Who." She performed her second single, "This Kiss," but perhaps recognizing the confused looks on the faces of the audience, she then switched to "Call Me Maybe." Whew.
