Um, is a punch to the face a red card offense?
The U.S. women's soccer team took on Colombia in group play Saturday and it got a little ugly at times. You can see at left that midfielder Heather O'Reilly took a few shots. Forward Abby Wambach got the worst of it, though -- she actually got punched in the face when the referee wasn't looking. Punched in the face. We're sad we don't have a photo.
The U.S. won 3-0, though, so at least the muggings didn't put them off their game.
