For the arts & literature portion of the Opening Ceremonies, famous British literary characters were there, from puppets of Cruella de Vil and Voldemort to dozens of real-life Mary Poppins floating in on umbrellas. Then hologram Charles Dickens lit the Olympic cauldron. (Not really.)
