'CSI: Miami' and 'CSI: NY'
Spinoffs of: "CSI"
The original "CSI" helped turn CBS around in the 2000-01 season, and it has since spawned two highly successful iterations of the show set in other glamorous, murder-happy (at least in the writers' visions) locales. They've developed their own personalities over the years, but "Miami" and "NY" share gruesome crimes, slick visuals, good-over-evil resolutions and theme music by The Who with the original.
