TV spinoffs: The best and worst since 1990

"The Vampire Diaries" is spinning off a series called "The Originals," which will chronicle the lives of the world's first and most dangerous vampires. Time will tell if it takes off with the popularity that its predecessor did (and still maintains), but we have a feeling the fans are going to love it.
