'Melrose Place'
Spinoff of: "Beverly Hills, 90210"
After being introduced on "90210" 1.0, "Melrose Place" began life as sort of the post-collegiate version of its predecessor, a basically earnest and straight-faced soap about the residents of a fictional apartment complex. That didn't really spark with viewers, though, so creator Darren Star and Co. dialed up the crazy, and viewers got a camptastic seven-season ride full of affairs, bombings, from-the-dead returns and all other manner of madness.
