The men of Whedon
"Bones": David Boreanaz is the original Joss Whedon leading man, having starred in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its spinoff, "Angel." Here, he's FBI Agent Seeley booth, an ex-Army sniper and expert interrogator who recognizes the value of the science Bones and her team bring to cases but prefers the old-school, following-hunches approach to cracking cases.
"Castle": Nathan Fillion starred in "Firefly" and "Serenity," guested on "Buffy" and was the, ahem, good guy in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," so his Whedon bona fides are not in dispute. He now plays cocky mystery novelist Rick Castle, whose "is it a good story?" approach to crimes is more valuable than his reluctant partner Beckett would like to admit.
Winner: We like both actors quite a bit, so we turned this one over to an informal Twitter poll. The tweeting masses came out in favor of Boreanaz.
