We cannot wait to see Tom working as a political writer in Dublin - we only hope the Irish War of Independence doesn't hurt him in any way. We would be just heartbroken if Tom and Sybil were torn asunder because he dies in the war.
Also - we cannot wait to see their first visit to Downton. There is so much to be mined from his first formal dinner, sitting with his new in-laws like an equal and being served by his former colleagues. We are quivering with excitement over that episode.
