Langley was bombed, the Vice President killed and Brody sent on the run in the Season 2 finale of "Homeland." Though two months have passed since those traumatic events by the time Season 3's premiere rolled around, not much has changed -- and that's the point. Though Saul has replaced David Estes as the head of the CIA, he still hasn't caught Brody (who doesn't even appear in "Tin Man Is Down") and neither has he gotten the government to fix the massive crater in front of Langley. The fact that Season 2's cliffhanger finale wasn't resolved in Season 3's premiere is the perfect sort of resolution for a show like "Homeland."
