'Incredible Hulk'

The powers: Rage-induced super-strength and invulnerability

The actor: Bill Bixby/Lou Ferrigno

The run: 1978-1982

The villains: Drug lords, corrupt cops, duplicitous family members, and others who prey on the helpless.

The tone: They were going for poignant, but it's hard to take things too seriously when you've got Lou Ferrigno painted green and flexing.

Of note: Don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
