Gay Characters on Network TV: 2011-12

GLAAD's annual TV study is out, and this year, the number of gay television characters on scripted shows is down from last year. In the 2011-2012 season, 2.9 percent of regular characters on scripted network shows are gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual -- at least, according to the character details available now.

Thanks to shows like "Glee" and its popular Animation Domination block on Sunday night, FOX is the most inclusive network this season with 7% of its series regulars representing the LGBT population.
