'Lockdown'
"House"-hold name: David Strathairn as Nash.
"House"-lights: During a hospital lockdown while security searches for a missing infant, House ends up trapped with Nash, a terminally ill patient who had tried repeatedly to get House to see him before it was too late. As they talk, House offers to sedate Nash until he passes, but he refuses because he's holding out hope his estranged daughter will call. House encourages Nash to leave her a final message on her machine and then sedates him and stays with him until the end. Right before he dies, House apologizes for not taking Nash's case.
Out-"House": Strathairn is a bit of an every-man actor, but is most famous for his Oscar-nominated turn as Edward R. Murrow in "Good Night, and Good luck."
