'Last Resort'
What we said then: The "tough sell" features "an utterly magnetic performance by Andre Braugher at its center, several well-formed supporting characters and enough sense of where it wants to go to make it easily one of the best new shows of this fall."
What we say now: Despite its favorable critical reception, "Last Resort" was never able to attract a large audience in its tough Thursday-night time slot. After ordering two additional scripts, ABC declined to pick up the freshman thriller for a full season. But producers Shawn Ryan and Karl Gajdusek reworked the 13th episode (now its last) to provide closure for fans, promising a finale as explosive and emotionally satisfying as its pilot.
