'The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex' (1939)
Bette Davis plays Elizabeth I in this steamy (well, for 1939) film about the love affair between good Queen Bess and the Earl of Essex.

She's also a bit of a cougar, as she's got a few years on Essex too.
Bette Davis famously shaved her eyebrows and hairline two inches to go along with Renaissance fashions (high forehead meant you were smart, no seriously) and they, unfortunately, never really grew back right. She also played a 60-something Elizabeth when she was only in her early 30s at the time, and quite the sex symbol.
