Sex, lies and videotape
"Big Brother": The best thing about "Big Brother" is that the contestants start to forget they are taped and there are 24-hour live feeds to capture all the shenanigans. And there are SHENANIGANS. Nudity, sex, scheming, lying, fighting, throwing things. The glorious, mostly-unedited trainwreck of it all is delightful.
"Survivor": Unfortunately, "Survivor" gets a rigorous edit. People are cast as types before the show even starts and what we see on TV is minus a lot of the crazy stunts "Big Brother" has going on.
Winner: We have to give this one to "Big Brother." While their cast members do get an edit for TV, the live feeds really let you see how the contestants are with each other. And who doesn't love David and Amanda (pictured), the first "Big Brother" couple to do it on camera. Well done, guys. As David said at the time, "Grandma's gonna love this." Point -- "Big Brother."
