Cliche No. 8: Parties
"The Office" has trotted this out so many times that it might have come back around to no longer being a cliche. Should they get a pass since the entire show revolves around an office and they naturally have an office party every year? Or is just lazy? We aren't sure.
"Arrested Development" dipped into the party well, but we did enjoy the incest-y overtones dawning on Michael and Maeby as they sang "Afternoon Delight." This cliche definitely crosses into New Year's territory, but since NYE is only a week after Christmas, it totally counts.
Other offenders: "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Friends," "How I Met Your Mother," "Melrose Place"
