Hit or Miss? Hit

This is one of the few examples of a new show that's vastly superior to its original version. The original series was a kind of cheesy late-70s sci-fi show about humans fleeing clunky warrior robots created by an extinct race of space lizards, and if you were a geeky kid then, you loved it. But the "reimagined" version? It took on war, terrorism, religion, fanaticism, identity, sex, human rights, machine rights, where we came from, where we're going and so much more. The cast and creators even talked to the United Nations about these issues. It was nominated for or won just about every award out there, and we're still salivating for whatever creator Ronald D. Moore does next.
