Sheila 'Grams' Bennett
We loved her because: What's not to love? Bonnie's Grams was the Head Witch In Charge. She taught Bonnie to embrace her witchcraft, and she had great instincts. She was also super-hot for a grandma.
We lost her because: FOR NO GOOD REASON. Grams died from over-exertion after opening the tomb, and then holding it open again so that Stefan could get out. Only it turned out that not only was Katherine not in there, but the tomb was left open anyway, and all the vampires escaped. Okay, so we're still pretty mad about this pointless, terrible loss.
