Fall TV 2010: 14 pilots we'd like to see on the air

'Undercovers' (NBC)

What it is: A married couple (Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and former CIA spies are pressed back into service when a colleague goes missing -- and find that they like what the danger adds to their marriage.

Why we're interested: NBC has already picked up the show, so we know we'll see it next season. Co-creator J.J. Abrams ("Alias," "Mission: Impossible 3") obviously knows his way around spy stories, but he and fellow creator Josh Reims ("Brothers & Sisters") are no slouches in writing relationships either. And kudos to NBC for casting African-American and African-British (Mbatha-Raw is from England) actors in the lead roles.
