'17th Precinct' (NBC)
What it is: As the title implies, "17th Precinct" is basically a cop show -- but it's set in a world where magic is real. So the cops don't have guns, they have magic wands (more or less), and the medical examiner can communicate with the murder victim.
Why we're interested: That all sounds kinda hokey, right? Handled well, though, it could be quite a bit of fun. In addition, the show features a veritable "Battlestar Galactica" reunion of creator Ron Moore and actors Tricia Helfer, Jamie Bamber and James Callis, along with "Caprica's" Esai Morales and Stockard Channing, who has no "Battlestar" ties but is always fun to watch.
