Larry Birkhead says he's the father of DannieLynn Hope

To quote "Highlander": There can be only one ... one biological father to Anna Nicole Smith's baby, that is.

The former Playboy Playmate's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead is suing for the paternity of her newborn baby, despite claims by her attorney that he's the father, report news sources.

Birkhead filed a lawsuit Monday, Oct. 2 demanding that Smith leave the Bahamas in order to conduct paternity testing in California. The reality show star has been in the Bahamas since the birth of her daughter, DannieLynn Hope on Sept. 7, the sudden death of her son Daniel three days later and the shipboard commitment ceremony she had with her lawyer Howard K. Stern, who publicly claimed the child as his on "Larry King Live."

Stern says that he and his client have been having a relationship for a while now and that they plan to marry. Birkhead scoffs at the attorney's claims.

Pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht claimed that a lethal mix of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro caused a cardiac dysrhythmia that led to the accidental death of Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel. Authorities in the Bahamas are still awaiting toxicology results.
