With such blockbuster titles as "Halo" and "Call of Duty" stealing the spotlight, it's hard for any first-person shooter to gain a bit of notoriety in the gaming world. One such title to attempt the long fight up the chart was the 2002 hit "SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs" for the PlayStation 2. The series quickly built a loyal following, which ultimately led to the release of nine sequels and spinoffs spanning four platforms. Now, with the launch of the PlayStation 3's motion-capturing Move technology, Zipper Interactive and Sony Computer Entertainment are ready to immerse you into the military world once more with "SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs."

In true first-person shooter style, the world has fallen under the threat of terror as a militant revolutionary plans to ruin the global economy. Now you must lead a multinational force of soldiers into battle and end this maniac's reign. Watching your back are South Korean covert operations specialist Park Yoon-Hee, heavy weapons operator Eric Schweitzer, Chief Petty Officer Dion Wells and South Korean reconnaissance operative Chung Kwan. With your squad in place and an intelligence analyst guiding your movements, you will need to spend the next six days saving the world, one bullet at a time.

"SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs," much like the titles that came before it, is a pure first-person shooter that builds its popularity by offering solid gameplay coupled with a detailed, well-told story. Throughout the 14 single-player missions, you'll find that this latest incarnation has attempted to improve upon its past by upgrading the enemy's A.I., updating the squad controls and adding in a new cover mode that allows you to hide in tough firefights.

The Move controls have also been added to the mix, creating a bit more immersion and a lot more fun. This motion control system will have you aiming, fighting in close-quarters combat, and controlling your squad through various movements and button presses. If you own a PlayStation 3 and have yet to experience the Move technology, "SOCOM 4" is making it easy for you by offering the "Full Deployment Edition." This version of the game also comes with the Move controller and Sharp Shooter gun mount, the Move navigation controller, and the PlayStation Eye camera.

As new technology leaps into the gaming world, "SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs" is ready to offer an entirely new gaming experience while still giving fans all of the single and multiplayer action they love.
