'Three's Company' Star's Home Destroyed in Fire
LOS ANGELES --
Don't come knocking on Suzanne Somers' door, because she won't be waiting for you.
The former "Three's Company" star's Malibu home was completely destroyed in a blaze that has also devastated numerous other multi-million dollar homes in the area, reports TMZ.com.
Despite her loss, the blonde actress has remained optimistic.
"My nature is to look at the glass half full," she says in a statement. "I don't have a son or daughter in Iraq. I haven't lost a loved one. We will rebuild, and I truly believe we will learn something great from this experience."
Neither Somers nor her husband Alan Hamel were home during the time of the fire. Homes in the area, which appeal to numerous celebrities seeking beachfront property, are estimated to run between $5 and $15 million.
Somers, 60, is best known for playing the bubbly blonde Chrissy Snow on the '80s sitcom "Three's Company" alongside Joyce DeWitt and the late John Ritter and later enjoyed success a decade later with the family sitcom "Step by Step" with Patrick Duffy. She's also known for her self-help books and the Thighmaster, the piece of exercise equipment gathering dust in most people's homes.
