1. PROMOTION PERIOD.
Promotion begins at 9 am PT on August 24, 2012 and ends at 4:59 pm PT on August 29, 2012 (the Promotion Period). Zap2it's computer clock shall be the official timepiece of the Promotion.
2. ELIGIBILITY.
This sweepstakes (the "Promotion") is open to legal U.S. residents of the 50 United States or DC who are 18 years and older as of the first day of the Promotion Period. You must be a Twitter member and a follower of @Zap2it in order to participate and at the time the prize is announced and awarded. If you are not a Twitter member, you may register for free on the Twitter website. Officers, directors, members, and employees (and their immediate family (i.e., parents, children, siblings, spouse), and persons residing in the same household) of the Sponsor, or any other party associated with the development or administration of this Promotion are not eligible to win. This Promotion is void where prohibited.
3. HOW TO ENTER.
Log on to and follow twitter/zap2it. Periodically during the Promotion Period, Zap2it will announce a chance to respond and win the 'SONS OF ANARCHY' prize. Anyone who sends an @ response with the hashtag #SAMCRObluray along with a photo of their favorite tattoo will be entered to win. You must not use a Photo that includes a recognizable person in the image. Photos must not contain any depiction of genitalia or of any other matter that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, deems obscene. Use of such Photo will be cause for disqualification. Photos may be repinned onto a custom Zap2it/Sons of Anarchy board on Pinterest or posted on other Zap2it social media outlets. Limit one entry per person. All received entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
4. SUBMITTED MATERIALS.
By submitting a Photo, entrant represents and warrants that the Photo submitted: is the original creation of the entrant and contains no defamatory, threatening, obscene, harassing or otherwise unlawful material. Entrant further represents and warrants that no laws were broken in the creation of the Photo and that entrant has all rights necessary to submit the Photo, including the tattoo depicted therein, in the Promotion. If an entrant breaches any of these representations and warranties, or any of the Official Rules, he or she is solely responsible for injury caused by the breach. Violation of any of these representations and warranties will be cause for disqualification. Entrants (and entrant’s parent or legal guardian if entrant is a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to indemnify, defend and hold Sponsor harmless against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, debts, investigations, fines, penalties, costs, expenses and settlements (including attorneys' fees and costs of litigation, settlement, judgment, interest and penalties) arising out of or related to a breach of the foregoing representations and warranties. Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be considered for a prize. The Sponsor makes the final determination as to which entries are eligible to take part in this Promotion and may be considered for a prize. Certain entries may be featured from time to time on the Zap2it Pinterest site during the Promotion, in Sponsor’s sole discretion; being selected as a featured Photo does not guarantee selection as a prize winner in the Promotion. Winners grant to Sponsor an irrevocable, world-wide, fully-paid, perpetual license to use their winning Photos, and any ideas contained therein, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, in any manner related to the Promotion and/or Sponsor, including but not limited to advertising for Sponsor, without prior notice, approval or compensation. Winners otherwise will retain all rights to their Photo, and the Sponsor’s publication of their Photo will not limit their use and ability to further market the Photo. Each entrant agrees that the Sponsor has no obligation to use or continue using such entrant’s Photo.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION.
At the end of the Promotion Period, Sponsor will select one Grand Prize winner and three runners up by random draw from the pool of eligible participants and attempt to notify the winners by Twitter direct message within 48 hours of the end of the Promotion Period. The potential winner must respond via email to within 48 hours of notification attempt. If potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 48 hours from the time the Sponsor first tries to notify potential winner, and/or the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner will forfeit all rights to win the Promotion or receive the prize. If so, alternate potential winner may be selected randomly from the pool of eligible participants. Upon contacting potential winner and determining that winner has met all eligibility requirements of the Promotion, including without limitation the execution of any required waivers, publicity and liability releases and disclaimers, which must be signed and returned to Sponsor prior to receipt of prize, such individual will be declared the "winner" of the Promotion. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules.
6. PRIZE DESCRIPTION.
One Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) Sons of Anarchy black jacket, adult size large and one (1) Blu-ray set of Sons of Anarchy Season 4. Approximate retail value of Grand Prize package is $320. Three runners up will each receive one (1) Blu-ray set of Sons of Anarchy Season 4, approximate retail value $70 each.
7. EXPENSES/TAXES.
All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the responsibility of the prize winner. All federal, state and/or local income and other taxes, if any, are the winner's sole responsibility.
8. ODDS OF WINNING.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants.
9. NO PRIZE TRANSFER OR SUBSTITUTION.
No prize or any portion thereof is transferable or redeemable for cash or any other instrument of value. Any portion of the prize that is not used is forfeited. There will be no prize substitution, except Sponsor may substitute prize of equal or greater value if prize offered becomes unavailable for any reason.
10. CONSENT AND RELEASE.
By entering the Promotion, each entrant releases and discharges the Sponsor and any other party associated with the development or administration of this Promotion, their parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, "Sponsor Entities"), from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with this Promotion, including without limitation legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including without limitation personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light) (collectively, "Claims"). Except where prohibited: (i) acceptance of a prize constitutes the consent of any winner, without further compensation, to use the name and likeness of such winner for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes by the Sponsor and/or others authorized by the Sponsor; (ii) acceptance of a prize constitutes a release by winner of the Sponsor Entities of any and all Claims in connection with the administration of this Promotion and the use, misuse, or possession of any prize; and (iii) potential winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (including social security number), a liability/publicity release and certain tax forms. If so, such documents must be returned within one week from the date that Sponsor sends them to potential winner.
11. DISCLAIMERS.
(i) Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor's servers or elsewhere, will not be eligible. (ii) Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion. Use of automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Sponsor. (iii) Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Promotion if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure or technical failures of any sort.
