ZAP2IT'S "12 DAYS OF TWEETMAS" TWITTER SWEEPSTAKES 
OFFICIAL RULES 

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

By entering this Promotion, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification. All decisions of the judges regarding this Promotion are final and binding in all respects.

1. PROMOTION PERIOD.
Promotion begins at 12:01 am CT on December 3, 2012 and ends at 10:59 pm CT on December 14, 2012 (the "Promotion Period"). Zap2it's computer clock is the official timepiece of the Promotion. 

2. ELIGIBILITY.
This sweepstakes (the "Promotion") is open to legal residents of the 50 United States or DC who are 18 years and older as of the first day of the Promotion Period. You must be a Twitter member and a follower of @Zap2it in order to participate and follow Zap2it at the time the prize is announced and awarded. If you are not a Twitter member, you may register for free on the Twitter website. Officers, directors, members, and employees and their immediate family (i.e., parents, children, siblings, spouse), and persons residing in the same household of the Sponsor, or any other party associated with the development or administration of this Promotion are not eligible to win. This Promotion is void where prohibited. 

3. HOW TO ENTER.
Log on to twitter.com and follow twitter/zap2it. Periodically during the Promotion Period, Zap2it will announce a chance to win the daily "12 DAYS OF TWEETMAS" prize. Anyone who is a follower of @Zap2it is automatically entered to win. Limit one entry per person and per Twitter handle. 

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION.
On each day of the Promotion Period, Sponsor will select the winner(s) for that day's prize(s) randomly from the pool of eligible participants and attempt to notify the winner(s) by direct message on Twitter. Eligibility for each daily prize will consist of a 24 hour period beginning at 11:00 pm CT and ending at 10:59 pm CT the following day, with the exception of December 3, which will begin at 12:01 am CT and end at 10:59 pm CT that same day. The potential winner must respond via email to kvock@zap2it.com within 48 hours of notification attempt. If potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 48 hours from the time the Sponsor first tries to notify potential winner, and/or the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeit all rights to win the Promotion or receive the prize. If so, alternate potential winner may be selected randomly from the pool of eligible participants. Upon contacting potential winner and determining that potential winner has met all eligibility requirements of the Promotion, including without limitation the execution of any required waivers, publicity and liability releases and disclaimers, which must be signed and returned to Sponsor prior to receipt of prize, such individual will be declared the "winner" of the Promotion. Properly claimed prize will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rule

5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION.  Different prize packages will be awarded each of the twelve days of the sweepstakes, as follows:  Day 1, December 3, 2012:  One winner will receive one copy of "The Science Fiction Universe… And Beyond" book valued at $40. Total prizing value of Day 1 package is $40. Day 2, December 4, 2012:  Two winners will each receive one "PSYCH" Season 5 DVD box set valued at $60 each. Total prizing value of Day 2 package is $120. Day 3, December 5, 2012:  Two winners will each receive one "ROYAL PAINS" Season 2 DVD box set valued at $40 each and one "COVERT AFFAIRS" Season 1 DVD box set valued at $40 each. Total prizing value of Day 3 package is $160. Day 4, December 6, 2012: Six winners will each receive one "SUITS" Season 1 DVD box set valued at $45 each. Total prizing value of Day 3 package is $270. Day 5, December 7, 2012: Five winners will each receive an "Ultimate World Series" prize package, consisting of  one "The San Francisco Giants: 2012 World Series Collector's Edition" DVD, one "2012 San Francisco Giants: The Official World Series Film" DVD, one "The World Series: History of the Fall Classic Deluxe Giftset" DVD and one "The Franchise" DVD. Value of each package is $152. Total prizing value of Day 5 package is $760. Day 6 December 8, 2012: Two winners will each receive one "SIMPSONS" Season 15 DVD box set, valued at $50 each. Total prizing value of Day 6 package is $100. Day 7, December 9, 2012: Three winners will each receive an "Amazing Spider-Man" prize package consisting of one "The Amazing Spider-Man" DVD, one Limited Edition poster signed by Marc Lee/Stan Webb (with certificate of authenticity) and one Spider-Man t-shirt. Value of each prize package is $90. Total prizing value of Day 7 package is $270.  Day 8, December 10, 2012: Three winners will each receive a "TED" prize package consisting of one "TED" Blu-ray disc, one "TED" mini-poster, one "TED" luggage tag, one "TED" scarf and two Thunder Buddy Sticks. Value of each prize package is $50. Total prizing value of Day 8 package is $150. Day 9, December 11, 2012:  Two winners will each receive one "SUPERNATURAL" Season 5 Blu-ray box set valued at $60 each. Total prizing value of Day 9 package is $120. Day 10, December 12, 2012:  Two winners will each receive one "VAMPIRE DIARIES" Season 1 Blu-ray box set valued at $60 each. Total prizing value of Day 10 package is $120. Day 11, December 13, 2012:  One winner will receive one "FRIENDS: THE COMPLETE SERIES" Blu-ray box set valued at $300, plus one $100 Visa gift card. Total prizing value of Day 11 package is $400. Day 12, December 14, 2012: One winner will receive $1,000 in American Express gift cards. Total prizing value for Day 12 package is $1,000. Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded in sweepstakes is $3,510.00.


6. EXPENSES/TAXES.
All expenses not specifically provided for herein are the responsibility of the prize winner. All federal, state and/or local income and other taxes, if any, are the winner's sole responsibility. 

7. ODDS OF WINNING.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants. 

8. NO PRIZE TRANSFER OR SUBSTITUTION.
No prize or any portion thereof is transferable or redeemable for cash or any other instrument of value. Any portion of the prize that is not used is forfeited. There will be no prize substitution, except Sponsor may substitute prize of equal or greater value if prize offered becomes unavailable for any reason. 

9. CONSENT AND RELEASE.
By entering the Promotion, each entrant releases and discharges the Sponsor and any other party associated with the development or administration of this Promotion, their parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, "Sponsor Entities"), from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with this Promotion, including without limitation legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including without limitation personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light) (collectively, "Claims"). Except where prohibited: (i) acceptance of a prize constitutes the consent of any winner, without further compensation, to use the name and likeness of such winner for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes by the Sponsor and/or others authorized by the Sponsor; (ii) acceptance of a prize constitutes a release by winner of the Sponsor Entities of any and all Claims in connection with the administration of this Promotion and the use, misuse, or possession of any prize; and (iii) potential winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (including social security number), a liability/publicity release and certain tax forms. If so, such documents must be returned within one week from the date that Sponsor sends them to potential winner. 


10. DISCLAIMERS.
(i) Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor's servers or elsewhere, will not be eligible. (ii) Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion. Use of automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Sponsor. (iii) Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Promotion if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure or technical failures of any sort. If Sponsor does so, Sponsor will post notice of its action at www.zap2it.com and on twitter/zap2it. If Sponsor terminates the Promotion prior to the scheduled end date, Grand Prize will be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the cancellation. (iv) Sponsor Entities are not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this Promotion, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors. (v) SPONSOR ENTITIES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, AS REGARDS THIS PROMOTION OR THE MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR ANY COMPONENT OF ANY PRIZE. (vi) CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. 

11. APPLICABLE LAWS AND JURISDICTION.
Issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Promotion will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action, exclusively by a state or federal court located in Chicago, Illinois. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of Illinois and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of Illinois. All judgments or awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket damages (excluding attorneys' fees) associated with participation in this Promotion and will not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages. 

12. PRIVACY POLICY.
All submitted entry information becomes the property of the Sponsor. Any entry information collected from the Promotion will be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of the entry and in accordance with these Official Rules and the Sponsor's Privacy Policy, which can be found on the Zap2it.com homepage and may be amended from time to time.
