As a seasoned guide, Bob May has led countless hunting and fishing expeditions in Alaska, so he knows better than most about the state's extreme conditions and harsh elements. Not to be deterred, May faces these challenges head-on to build the ultimate hunting lodge in the Kodiak Archipelago of southern Alaska. Before the winter brings the project to an abrupt halt, he and his team work up to 16 hours a day to complete the cabin in time for the arrival of his clients. The challenges include total isolation, inclement weather, rough seas, and the occasional visit by a grizzly. The budget is overrun as well, but despite hardships, May ends up with the cabin of his dreams. Season two focuses on a new set of characters building cabins in the remote Alaskan wilderness.
