As much as getting face time with stars and writers and eating too much food, the TCA summer Press Tour is a way to get a sense of how the creators and casts of new series see their shows going forward. Sure, we've seen the pilots, but it's not always easy to judge a show on the basis of its very first episode.
When we hear concrete plans for the future or see the chemistry among a group of actors in person, that can allay any fears we may have. Conversely, not getting good answers from a panel can give us a bad feeling. That's what you'll get a sense of in the slides to follow -- which shows made us more eager for their premieres, which ones need to go back to the drawing board and which ones we're still not sure about.
