Zap2it's TV Show Rehab: 12 steps to a better 'Heroes'

Despite what "The Eclipse" suggested, the notion that some people have special abilities in the world of "Heroes" goes back at least a couple of centuries (see Hiro and Adam Monroe in feudal Japan). Yet the show has always been fuzzy about how much of the population has these powers and just what causes them to manifest. Even if the show can't settle on the mechanism behind their abilities, it could do a better job of addressing why these people are special. Is it fate, design, arbitrary mutation?
