'Eureka,' 'Haven'
Premieres: Friday, July 9 at 9 p.m., 10 p.m., Syfy
Why we're watching: In "Eureka," U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) returns for a fourth season of protecting this top-secret town of misfit geniuses from the outside world trying to learn its secrets. It's a quirky little show -- think "Twin Peaks" or "Northern Exposure" goes to the circus. Definitely fun summer viewing.
"Eureka" is getting a Friday night partner in "Haven," a series loosely based on Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid." The show chronicles the adventures of FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) as she finds the town of Haven (in Maine, where else?), a refuge for people affected by supernatural occurrences. Sounds like a fun Syfy Friday to us.
