'White Collar,' 'Covert Affairs'
Premieres: Tuesday, July 13, 9 p.m./10 p.m., USA
Why we're watching: "White Collar's" explosive first season finale had Neal (Matt Bomer) about to leave his consulting work-- and new BFF Peter (Tim DeKay)-- behind...only to have the plane he was going to take explode with his lady love, Kate, inside. Uh oh. That fallout, plus creator Jeff Eastin's promise to Korbi TV that the show will be answering some burning questions early on in season two should make the show a must-watch.
"Covert Affairs" basically appears to be a revamped version of "Alias" on the USA Network, but really, what could be wrong with that? Piper Perabo heads up the series as Annie Walker, a CIA trainee who is suddenly promoted to being a field operative...but possibly not for the reasons her bosses claimed she was. The series also stars many of your TV faves including Christopher Gorham ("Ugly Betty"), Peter Gallagher ("The O.C."), Sendhil Ramamurthy ("Heroes"), Anne Dudek ("House"), and Kari Matchett ("Invasion").
