The nominations for the 34th Annual People's Choice Awards have been announced and, as always, there are more questions than answers.

If "the people" were such big fans of "Evan Almighty" (Favorite Family Movie nominee against "Ratatouille" and "Shrek the Third") why didn't "the people" go see it when it when it was in theaters?

Or...

If "the people" are such big fans of Halle Berry (Favorite Female Movie Star nominee against Sandra Bullock and Reese Witherspoon) and Jessica Alba (against Drew Barrymore and Queen Latifah for Favorite Leading Lady), why don't "the people" go see their movies except for the ones that involve superheroes?

Or...

Why the slap in the face of "Viva Laughlin," the fall's only new scripted show not to be nominated in the Favorite New TV categories?

The People's Choice nominees were announced at a Los Angeles event hosted by Ryan Seacrest. The winners will be revealed on Tuesday, Jan. 8 in ceremony telecast on CBS and hosted by Queen Latifah.
