Series to bid adieu to second network home

"7th Heaven's" first series finale didn't take, so it's making another go of it.

The CW family values show will close its pearly gates on Sunday, May 13, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The episode, titled "And Away We Go," will allow fans can say goodbye to the remaining Camdens for the second and presumably last time.

"7th Heaven" enjoyed 10 years on the WB before wrapping up its May 2006 series finale, in which three of the Camden kids were expecting twins, Simon was left without a wedding ring, Ruthie hared off to Scotland for some guy and the twins Sam and David still acted as one unit.

But lo, and behold, the CW revived the series for the network launch, starting the show off in its signature Monday slot, but then shifting it to Sunday. With three of the main Camden kids (Barry Watson, Jessica Biel, David Gallagher) missing, the focus shifted to Beverley Mitchell's neurotic Lucy and other young folk who needed guidance, including single mom Sandy (Haylie Duff).

There has been no word on the finale's plot or whether the previously missing Camdens will return to send off the show.
