Aaron Carter Recuperating From Surfing Accident
Teen went to hospital for his injuries
The singer-actor apparently had a "minor surfing accident earlier this week" that required he seek medical attention, according to published reports.
"Although hospitalized, he has been released and is recovering nicely at home," reads a statement from Carter's reps.
While tween girls nationwide will be happy to hear the blond heartthrob is OK, there are no details about the full extent of his injuries.
Carter, 18, will star in E!'s upcoming reality show "House of Carters" premiering in October. In the weekly series, Aaron, big brother Nick of Backstreet Boys fame, twin sister Angel, and sisters Leslie and Bobbie Jean will move in together and plan their futures.
The Carter family has created its share headlines: mom Jane Carter's arrest on a battery charge; her bitter divorce from Bob Carter; at age 16, Aaron's peitition for legal emancipation from his manager/mother; Nick's arrest for drunk driving; and Bobbie Jean's arrest for assault.
Aaron Carter is also notorious for allegedly starting the celebrity feud between Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff by dating both of them back in the day.
Carter sold more than 1.5 million copies of his 2000 album "Aaron's Party" and released his latest album "Come and Get It: The Very Best of Aaron Carter" in January.
His acting credits include a guest stint on "7th Heaven" and roles in "Fat Albert," "Supercross," the direct-to-video "Popstar" and the indie "I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With."
