ABC Makes Appointment with 'Miss/Guided'
Comedy starring Judy Greer debuts in March
ABC has found a place for the final piece of its midseason schedule this year, scheduling a brief run for the comedy "Miss/Guided" in March and April. The series, which stars Judy Greer ("27 Dresses," "Arrested Development") as a high school guidance counselor, will premiere at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18. The odd start time is offset by what will likely be a prime lead-in -- it follows a 90-minute "Dancing with the Stars."
Following the premiere, "Miss/Guided" will settle into the 8 p.m. Thursday timeslot on March 20. Back-to-back episodes will air for a few weeks, holding down the hour before "Ugly Betty" returns on April 24.
Greer plays Becky Freeley, who works as a guidance counselor at her old high school and has finally put the awkward, braces-wearing student she used to be behind her. Until, that is, high-school nemesis Lisa Germain (Brooke Burns, "Pepper Dennis") takes a teaching job at the school and catches the eye of her crush, Spanish teacher Tim (Burns' "North Shore" co-star Kristoffer Polaha).
Earl Billings ("Thank You for Smoking") and "Saturday Night Live" alum Chris Parnell round out the cast as the school's principal and vice principal.
Caroline Williams ("The Office") created the show and serves as a co-executive producer. Director Todd Holland ("Malcolm in the Middle," "Wonderfalls"), Ashton Kutcher ("Beauty and the Geek"), Mark Hudis ("That '70s Show"), Jason Goldberg and Karey Burke are all exec producers.
