Isis is the first transgender contestant on the show

Last season saw a plus-sized woman win "America's Next Top Model." Could this be the season for a transgender winner?

One of the 14 women competing on the 11th cycle of "America's Next Top Model" is transgender, reveals Us Weekly.

"My cards were dealt differently," says Isis, 22, who describes herself as "a woman born physically male."

Isis, who shares a name with the ancient Egyptian goddess, doesn't necessarily see herself as a role model for transgender people though.

"I like to help people, but I'm here to follow my dreams," she says.

Hailing from Prince George's County, Maryland, the former receptionist currently lives in New York City and works as a program assistant at a non-profit organization.

GLAAD president Neil Giuliano thinks Isis' presence on "ANTM" is "an unprecedented opportunity for a community that is underrepresented on television. We applaud Tyra Banks and The CW for making this historic visibility of transgender people possible."

"Top Model" returns to The CW for a special two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
