It's the second child for the 29-year-old actress

Amy Acker, who appeared on the season finale of "How I Met Your Mother," is a mother again herself.

The "Angel" actress and her actor husband James Carpinello welcomed their second child into the world on Friday, Sept. 1 in Los Angeles, reports People.

Ava Grace weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. at birth and has an older brother, Jackson, who's 19 months old.

"Amy, James and Jackson are enjoying the new addition to their family," says Acker's rep.

Acker, 29, is best known for playing the goofy but brainy scientist Fred on Joss Whedon's vampire spinoff series "Angel" from 2001-2004. She then took an evil turn when she stepped into the shoes of ruthless superspy Kelly Peyton on the final season of "Alias." Her other recent credits include voice work on "Justice League Unlimited" and a guest role on The WB's "Supernatural."

Carpinello, 30, was last seen on Tori Spelling's "So NoTORIous." On the big screen, he appeared in "The Punisher" and "The Great Raid."
