'CSI: Miami' Lures 'Showgirls' Star
Elizabeth Berkley will play Horatio Caine's ex
Elizabeth Berkley has booked a key recurring role on CBS' Monday night hit "CSI: Miami."According to The Hollywood Reporter, Berkley will play Horatio Caine's (David Caruso) ex Julia Winston.
Caine recently discovered he had a teenage son, fruit of Julia's loins. However, the character is more than just Horatio's baby mama, though. She's also the focus of a murder investigation when her billionaire hubby turns up dead.
Berkley's "CSI: Miami" role will have no connection with the one-off role she played on the "CSI" mothership back in 2003.
Beloved as Jessie Spano on "Saved by the Bell," Berkley won a pair of Razzies for her breakout film performance as Nomi Malone in "Showgirls." Her subsequent features have included "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion" and "Roger Dodger," while she's appeared on the small screen on episodes of "Without a Trace" and "Threshold."
