Couple is also expecting a baby

"Rock Star: Supernova" host Brooke Burke is putting together a group of her own -- a family.

The TV personality became engaged to former "Baywatch" star David Chavret on Saturday night (Aug. 19) and is also expecting a baby with him, reports People.

The proposal at a "summertime party" was "a total surprise," she says, adding. "It was all very romantic."

Chavret, who Burke describes as her "best friend," gave her an eternity band engagement ring. The couple, both 34, has known each other for several years but only started dating last year, during "Rock Star: INXS" and around the time she split with her first husband, plastic surgeon Garth Fisher. She has two daughters with Fisher: Neriah, 6, and Sierra, 4

Burke is a former model who posed for Frederick's of Hollywood and is a fixture in men's magazines. As the host of E!'s "Wild On," she visited exotic locales for three years. She reunites with "Rock Star: INXS" co-host Dave Navarro for CBS's Mark Burnett reality series follow-up, "Rock Star: Supernova," in which hopefuls vie to be the next lead singer for a supergroup made up of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clark and Metallica bassist Jason Newsted.

Charvet played Matt Brody on "Baywatch" and and Craig Field on "Melrose Place."
