The world of rock music is combined with unscripted drama, performance competition and a weekly contestant elimination determined by viewer participation, judges and band members. The second season of "Rock Star" finds Motley Crue's Tommy Lee, Metallica's Jason Newsted and Guns N' Roses' Gilby Clarke looking for a frontman (or woman) to help form the newest "super group," Supernova. The winner records a CD with Supernova.
